SUMMARY:2024 Irving Amateur Radio Club Hamfest
DESCRIPTION:Stop by and checkout the Irving Amateur Radio Club’s 2024 Hamfest!\nFrom the club’s email: \nOur hamfest attracts over 50 sellers filling over 70 vendor tables with numerous ham radio-related items. We typically have\nbetween 350 to 400 area Hams attend our hamfest\, and we always have a great selection of door prixzes\, and this year is \nno exception.\n\nAlong with our grand prize\, a Yaesu FT-710AESS HF/6 Meter radio\, we'll be awarding the following hourly prizes:\n\n12:00 PM Yaesu FTM-500 Dual-Band Digital Mobile\n11:00 AM Icom IC-T10 Dual-Band FM HandHeld (2 radios awarded)\n10:00 AM Icom IC-V3500 2 Meter FM Mobile (2 radios awarded)\n9:00 AM Yaesu FT-2980 2 Meter FM Mobile (2 radios awarded)\nN5TXLSecretary/Treasurer\, North Texas Amateur Radio Society \nI was originally licensed in 2017 and very much enjoy Parks on the Air\, field operations\, and computer radioing like Winlink and FT8. I like experimenting with homebrew stuff and sharing all the information I discover. My shack is equipped with a Yaesu FT-991a\, G5RV\, Jr.\, and a Tram 1480 for VHF/UHF. For POTA\, I use Wolf River Coil or a JPC-7 dipole for rapid deployment and ease of use. My trade is IT (specifically server infrastructure and Cloud services development) and I currently host this website\, among other services for various clubs\, and am responsible for its content.
